A well executed, short animation will garner more views and better cut-through for your message. After coming up with the idea of resurrecting Britain’s “Charley Says” public safety films, to remind viewers not to overload their electrical sockets or purchase fake goods, I worked with the British Film Institute to source archival footage, and with a team of animators to re-work the new films. Working with a famous voiceover artist, and in partnership with a fantastic public relations team, we secured 207 pieces of press coverage for the campaign. Animation can’t exist in a vacuum. It’s only good value when you achieve your dream scenario, which means working with a team whose execution and project management skills are complementary.
